DESCRIPTION:NorCal NECA is committed to individual growth within the electrical construction industry.  In 2025\, the Chapter is continuing its quarterly Professional Development Program.  This program will consist of quarterly seminars to enhance member skills\, leadership qualities\, and problem-solving abilities.  Participants will leave each session inspired and have the tools to be more effective in the workplace\, make meaningful contributions to their teams\, and advance in their careers.  These seminars are free to NorCal NECA Members. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe 2nd Quarter Seminar is “Conflict Management.”  This dynamic program will be presented virtually by Dale Carnegie. \n\nDate:  Wednesday\, June 4\, 2025\nTime:  9:00 AM – 11:00 AM\nLocation:  Zoom Video Conference \n\n\n\n\nAbout this program:  As long as there is more than one person working on a team\, the opportunity for conflict exists. Conflict is usually the result of opposing viewpoints\, and when we consider it as a natural sharing of ideas\, which can be beneficial. With a clear understanding of the issues and personalities involved\, a good manager can use conflict for the benefit of the team. \nIn this seminar\, we will explore practical ways to manage conflict within our organization. We learn to use proven tools and methods to expose issues\, discuss them objectively\, and find a neutral solution. \nAt the end of this program\, you will be able to: \n\nRecognize the upside of conflict\nAnalyze conflict within their organization\nRecognize their conflict response style\nApply a variety of strategies for managing conflict
