About the Instructor: Craig Bodette, a graduate of the University of Toledo, spent most of his career in the construction industry working with construction clients while in public practice, but also in roles of Controller and CFO for a large contractor. He works closely with clients in the electrical contractor and home building industries and has been a speaker at many construction industry conferences and seminars.
Participants who attend each day will receive 3 hours of continuing education credits. Space is limited to 18, so please register soon!
An understanding of construction accounting is essential for the success of your business. This course covers topics such as revenue recognition methods, the components of contract costs, how to calculate revenue earned, balance sheet accounts that are unique to contractors and key financial ratios for contractors.
Following this course, participants will be able to:
- Calculate job costs
- List components of contract costs
- Give examples of methods
- Measure percentages of completion of revenue earned
- Explain how to calculate financial ratios
